I mention in my first blog entry that I don't consider myself as a fan of 飛輪海. Well, let me clarify. Out of all the Taiwanese male groups that have arisen in the past few years, I like 飛輪海 the most. I like the fact that they always try to be themselves instead of pretending to be someone else. A lot of the other groups emphasize on appearances instead of abilities, so often times I find it sickening to see people whom I don't think are handsome pretend or act as if they are handsome. ew.
Yes, 飛輪海 members are good-looking too, and to some degree, fans are attracted to their appearances, but at least I don't get a feeling of phoniness when I watch them. It's fun to see 吳尊 craving for food, and I feel priviledged to read 炎亞綸's blog and his views on life. The blog entries might not contain the happiest thoughts, but at least they are written by 炎亞綸 in his own words. I tend to give people a lot of credits for sharing their deep inner thoughts because it's a non-trivial thing to do. Not everybody would accept or approve of what you write or the parts of you that you choose to expose, but if you have enough courage to say, "Well, whether you like it or not, this is me!", then I give you a thumbs-up for being true to who you are.
Of course, 飛輪海 still has room for improvements, but I believe that as long as they keep their positive attitude and continue to work hard, they will be around for a long long time. Good luck in your future endeavors, 飛輪海. :)

California is known for its sunny weather, but as winter arrives and thus marks the beginning of the raining season, today I have seen and experienced nothing except non-stop rainfall and gusty wind. The weather hasn't been this bad for a while, but I am not complaining here. We haven't had enough rainfalls in the past few years, so we really need the rain. It's just that I don't like getting wet. :(

I never really like the coming of a new year. To me, a year is just a unit of time that the majority of the world uses. The coming and going of a year doesn't have much significance. The Earth continues to revolve; clocks continue to click; we continue to live. Why do we have to put so much emphasis on January 1st? It really is just another day/24 hours/1440 minutes/86400 seconds of our life.
Life is a gift.We all receive this gift equally, second by second, day after day, until we die. Use this gift wisely.
Years ago, when I was still a student in high school, I wished that time could pass by faster. At the time, all I wanted was to finish school and start working so that I could help support the family. I dreamed of myself becoming successful, lights emitting from my body, as if I was a goddess of some sort, standing in a position of glory. I imagined big things happening to me. Many people had told me that I would emerge to be someone special, having influence in the society, and I believed that I would.
And now, I wish time can slow down a bit. I don't want myself to grow old so fast, nor do I want my parents to grow old so quickly either. I realize that as time goes by, my remaining time with my family and people I care about is getting shorter and shorter. But what can I do? I can no longer see myself in the future. I don't know if I can live up the expectations anymore. What should I do? Well, I will let fate decide. I believe that as long as I do what I think is right, I will be guided to the path that's meant for me.

Fahrenheit Blog Design

Above is the screenshot of my design for Fahrenheit's blog. This should be the final version unless something goes wrong.

I am a first time PIXNET user--I signed up two days ago just so that I could participate in the [快來幫飛輪海設計新窩吧!] design contest. It was kind of an unusual decision for me to make since I wasn't really a Fahrenheit fan. Now don't do me wrong, I do like Fahrenheit, but it's just that I don't think I like them enough to consider myself a fan. ;)
This whole blog design contest is a neat idea. HIM saves time in doing the actual design (which can be very time-consuming), and fans get to contribute and possibly win prizes and fame. For me, the reason for participating was the latter. By fame I don't mean that my design has to get picked by HIM or anything, but it is a wonderful feeling when I submit my design and see other PIXNET users applying it. As a software engineer, I just want to create things that people would find useful.
I didn't intent to write anything for the blog. Afterall, I only needed to come up with the design and CSS. But then, I realized that it might not be nice if people did visit my blog and all they saw were some dummy posts, so fine, I will try and write posts in this blog. :) It will take discipline in my part since I feel a bit out of place here--I can't type Chinese and I don't live in Taiwan (I am not originated from Taiwan either).
Finally, I must say that PIXNET is probably the best blogging engine I've ever seen and used. The navigations and controls are intuitive and easy to use. However, I do think the site uses a bit too much JavaScript alerts (maybe there is a setting somewhere to turn it off), and of course, one must know CSS to alter the design (though many other blog engines are like this as well), but anyway, the PIXNET team has done a great job!
